Extensions

We automatically file federal extensions on behalf of all of our clients from prior two tax seasons by mid February. Unfortunately since we are not privy to whether you filed quarterly estimates we cannot file state extensions. See state income tax tab for link to do so. I noted next to each link if they except federal extension for the particular state. I cannot emphasis enough, an extension covers time to file, it does not cover time to pay, whether it is federal or state. If applicable prior tax year we do include estimates with your file copy of your return, it is your responsibility to remit on a timely basis. Realize state tax refunds are taxable on your federal return, if your income varied please contact us so we can modify calculations prior to remitting your fourth quarter estimates.
